Bill started his relationship with MSD in 1987. He became interested in diving after hearing a presentation about SCUBA from Bill Matthies.  Bill enjoys night diving and deep diving.  

Bill is also certified to teach several specialties including Drysuit Diver, Search and Recovery, Wreck Diver, Ice Diver, Night Diver, Deep Diver, NITROX Diver and Boat Diver. He also has Advanced Nitrox and Gas Blender certificates (through TDI,), Trimix, Decompression Procedures, full cave, Inspiration Rebreather and Megladon Rebreather training through IANTD, and is a member of the Crow County Sheriff's Dive Team.

Bill has been diving the North Shore of Superior, Thunder Bay, Tobermory, Ontario, Fiji, Truk, Cozumel, Catalina Island, Grand Cayman, Roatan, Honduras, Pugent Sound, Mermet Springs, Bonne Terre Mine,  Florida Springs and Florida Keys. 

His favorite local diving places are Feigh Mine during the day and Portsmouth for night dives.
