MSD'S Cuyuna Dive Fest September 28th -September 30th 2007
|
This will be our fourth year
hosting this event at Portsmouth Campground in Ironton. This peaceful
setting has proven to be one of the best Diving is a highlight for sure. Our annual underwater poker chip hunt takes place in over 10 different sites. This allows divers to spread out and enjoy all the diversity that Cuyuna has to offer. Poker chips that are found are recorded on the official board could be worth prizes at the end of the weekend.
In the evenings we all circle our camping chairs around the campfire and relax. We are honored to welcome Brian Barber for the first time this year. He will be adding some excitement by performing some laid back guitar on Saturday night. We try to gear the event for everyone, it's a great time for divers and non-divers of all ages to enjoy all that the Cuyuna area has to offer. This years event is $45.00 per person if registered and paid in full by September 14th. (It's $55.00 after September 14th.) Full entry into Divefest includes your official 2007 Divefest T-shirt, allows you participate in the underwater treasure and medallion hunt, Friday and Saturday nights campfires, live music by Brian Barber on Saturday Night, and much more! You can also purchase a day pass to Divefest for $15.00. This will allow you to enjoy one evenings entertainment and participate in that day's activities (no raffle or t-shirt but poker chip hunt and garbage pick-up will still give you a chance at some prizes) . Camping is available at Portsmouth Campground for $3.00 per person/ night. We do not reserve campsites for anyone. It's first come first serve with the Campground opening at 3pm on Friday. We will announce the first sites with hidden poker chips at 5pm Friday night. With Divefest headquartered at the DNR's Portsmouth Campground each vehicle entering the campground must have a current State Park Sticker. These are $25.00 for a year pass or $5.00 per day. To speed up our registration process, we encourage everyone to purchase their passes in advance if possible. They can be purchased at any Minnesota DNR Office, State Park or at the Portsmouth Campground on the day of the event if needs be. If you attended our divefest last year, remember to check your parking pass on your vehicle because it may be still valid for the 2007 Divefest. Each participant must fill out a separate registration and liability form. These must be returned with full payment to MSD by Sept. 14th to qualify for the early bird discount. Even if you miss the September 14th deadline, please complete the forms and bring them out to the campgrounds in order to help save time and paperwork. Questions can be emailed to info@mndiving.com or call 1-800-657-2822. The entire staff and friends of MSD look forward to seeing all of you there! Registration form Liability Form
