Tree Hugger (Hopkins )

One dive at this site and you will understand how it got its name.  This is an excellent examples of a  submerged forests.  This site has much to offer.  The shallow bay just off the entry allows for a nice gradual slope into the water and easy decent. 

A dive at this site is not compete with out a tour of the massive beaver pilings.  The fish life in this area is wonderful as many different varieties of fish call this area home.

Hopkins has lots of history submerged beneath its surface.   Take a tour of the building foundation and the pipes left over from the mining days.   A deeper dive to the roadbed at 50-70 will also bring to mind this pits rich past.

With a large gearing up area and easy walk to the water with is a great site for a large group of multiple divers.  The bay at the entry point is shaded early morning and late evening, but the rest of the dive receives nice light all day long.
