One of the most beautiful areas in the Cuyuna State Recreational Area this site has much to offer both above and below the water.  The large grassy area is great for gearing up.

In addition to a large grassy area and nice trees there are two vehicles that can be dived on from this site, however we if you wish to visit the Dodge on the north side of Alstead we would recommend entering at Stairway to Hell.  The second vehicle is has been submerged quite a bit longer and is a bit more vintage.  This one is in about 5 feet of water. 

A word of caution if you are following the contour in a counter clockwise manner, be sure to stay above 20 feet to avoid a central ridge, which will divert the diver toward the center of the pit.  This ridge continues to descend to more than 70 feet and makes navigation difficult.  Many divers that have been confused by this end up doing a long surface swim back to the entry point after a 70 ft ascent without reference.
