Use the same entrance as the boat landing.  We recommend that you drive down to the dock and drop off your gear and then park your car in the parking lot at the top of the ramp. 

There are  three distinct dives that you can do from this site.  It is a favorite spot of many for night dives.  Portsmouth is famous among divers for the huge Northerns that call this mine home.

Shortly after entering the water you will encounter an old snowmobile that has been submerged here for years.  A longer swim will get you to the area near Portsmouth Campground where you will be able to find lots of mining remnants from an old building foundation to barrels and coils of wire.  Here you will often encounter lots of smaller pan fish poking around.

This site can also be a great one to bring snorkelers along with.  The shallow bay to the right of the landing holds lots of smaller fish and trees.
